"Emotionally attracting customers through strategic visual content"
Photos and videos are not just images or moving pictures, they tell stories that create emotion and motivate buyers.
They reflect your personality and build trust.
Videos, especially, are a powerful tool for small business owners. When you use videos to share your brand story, you build relationships from the moment a potential client lands on your website.
Websites today need to be more than a static, online brochure with stale stock photography. Your website needs the right photos to tell your story in a way that is inviting and personable.
In fact, 66% of customers would rather learn about a product or service by watching a short video than reading about it.
Businesses now have endless potential to use video to reach customers. To make it affordable, I’ve created packages so visual content marketing is accessible to every small business on the mid north coast.
I started taking photos on film when you only had 24 or 36 shots per roll. And then you had to wait days to see what they looked like.
As a teenager, I’d take photos of my mates jumping bikes across steep rock edges at the local quarry. I still remember the amazing feeling when the bikes flew through the air and how time completely slowed down.
I loved how photography froze a moment in time that could be re-lived (after waiting days for processing).
After high school, I studied cinematography at Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
The experience of learning the technical and artistic side of filmmaking allows me to tell a business story in the same way going to the movies makes us feel.
My dream was to have a small production company producing television commercials and filming sporting events. To help pay for equipment, I started a commercial cleaning business that I ran for 25 years.
As a small business owner
I know what it’s like. Running any business is an emotional rollercoaster, but you keep going day in day out because you’re passionate about your product or service and have empathy for your customers. Capturing the essence of your business is where I can help.
Back to my roots
After 25 years as a business owner, I’ve come back to my original roots of producing visual content.
A photo or video can take you somewhere you’ve never been before. It gives you the inspiration to travel, move to a new location or take up a new activity. It can give you an emotional attachment to someone, something or somewhere.
Lighting plays a big part in photography. After all, the word “photography” literally means “drawing with light”. Producing the right lighting along with the right camera angles (composition), is what gives the right emotional feel to the story.
Creating content with your phone camera works, but to really draw your audience in, there’s a lot more to consider. This is where I can help. Together, we’ll create strategic visual content that emotionally connects customers to your business.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
